Welcome to Staying Real About Faith & Family. If you’re looking for a community where you can get real about life without resistance, you’re in the right place. I’m Linda Goldfarb. Each week, Heather Greer and I and our guests offer personal insight to encourage transparent living from a biblical viewpoint with practical applications. Staying Real with the Holy Spirit’s leading is what we’re all about – we pray today’s episode blesses you.

Today’s guest is SARA CORMANY. Sara is a wife, mom to four, and follower of Jesus. A former speech educator turned award-winning author. She delights in finding God’s beauty in the mundane. A regular contributor for Family Fusion magazine, she is quick to say while she’ll never write a book on parenting, she knows well the grace of God, who’ll get every mama through the good, the hard, and the downright hilarious.

Recognizing our mama imperfection, our foibles, our messy places is the ground on which His grace grows best.

Finding a mama tribe or community who will love you as you are but won’t shy away from calling you on the things that are important is key to persevering through the rough times.

Realizing God asks us for our faithfulness rather than an outcome gives us the gift to parent out of freedom rather than fear.

Today’s thought Consideration – Father doesn’t require an outcome; He asks for our faithfulness.

My niece and her husband and children are a Christian family. They have raised three children in “church” and they continue to grow daily in Christ. One child is at Mercer and headed out for Cape Town, SA in May for a month with Mercer. Oldest moved out on her own, has her own home and works 4 jobs. Looking for a GOOD Christian husband. Youngest in high school. They are all blessings to all. She could write a book on parenting also. They have had their ups and downs as all families do.

    • Thank you for sharing about your niece and her family. It’s always a blessing to hear how Father is moving in and through His children’s lives.
