Does despair rob us of hope?

It most certainly can.

If I focus on a negative situation, it seems to grow and take on a life of its own. After a while, the situation becomes a barricade separating me from hope. It’s during that separation I can easily slip into a victim mentality of, “why me?” I don’t believe I’m alone here.

Yet, when I choose to exude gratitude, the enemy’s plot to steal, kill, and destroy my hope is diverted.

Not. Today. Satan.

How often do you display gratitude?

Let’s express some gratitude together.

Thank You, LORD

  • Your love breathes life into me.
  • Your strength helps me stand when I am weak.
  • Your peace steadies the chaos surrounding me.
  • Your mercy is new every day, and I feel it.
  • Your Word is Truth, and He has set me free.

I am grateful because You see me and give me strength.

“The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.”
Psalm 29:11 NIV

Oh, my brothers and sisters say it with me, “Blessed am I for my GOD sees me and cares for me.”

What a wonderful way to start and end our day — being thankful for He is our good, good God.

Let’s journey together

Praise You, Abba. Your love sustains us.
Your word gives us purpose and truth.
You steady us in the chaos.
Your strength keeps us upright.
Thank You for loving us. No. Matter. What.
Guide us this day in Your will and Your way.
Hallelujah and Amen!
